DEPARTS from the Vicarage car park (opposite Parish Hall) at 9.30 am.

SUNDAY MORNING SHORT WALK
DEPARTS from East Court car park at 10.00 am.
These will be led at an easy pace and under 3 miles.
They will include places or events of local interest with an occasional pub or picnic lunch.

SUNDAY AFTERNOON WALK
DEPARTS from East Court car park at 1.30 pm.

Footpath Reports
Members should report broken stiles, bridges, overgrown paths and waymarking required to the Footpaths Secretary, Lyn Summerfield

Map Lending Library
The Club has a set of Ordnance Survey maps which are available from Lyn Summerfield ( ). These cover all of the areas likely to be walked in and around adjoining counties. Note. OS provide maps on-line, 2km square, which can be printed off from the Ordnance Survey web site: (www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/getamap/).

SEAFORD, BEACHY HEAD, BIRLING GAP AND CUCKMERE HAVEN followed by a meal in “The Golden Galleon” on Sunday 20 December 2009. This will be a walk of approximately 7½ miles. Park in Seaford and catch the local bus to Beachy Head (don’t forget your bus pass). We walk back along the cliff tops to Birling Gap and on to Cuckmere Haven and the Golden Galleon for a meal. After the meal you have the choice of walking back to Seaford or catching the bus. For further information telephone Alan & Tricia Larcombe.

NEW YEARS DAY
This year we are returning to Rowfant. Meet in East Court car park at 9.30 am for the morning walk and Rowfant Car Park for the afternoon walk at 1.45 pm. Numbers are limited to 45 for the finger buffet lunch and will be on sale at the AGM. The buffet menu will also be on view at the AGM. Tickets are available from Carl Heppell Brenda Finch and John Mowbray . The 4 mile walk will be led by Carl Heppell and the 3 mile by John Mowbray. Members joining for lunch only, meet outside Rowfant at 12.10 pm for the 12.15 to 1.30 pm lunch. The price for the finger buffet is £9 per head. Members who only wish to
walk are also welcome.

NEW YEARS DAY FESTIVE TEA will be held in the Small Parish Hall opposite the large Chequer Mead car park.
This will be from approximately 3.30pm until 7pm. Rambling clothes can be worn. All members are welcome, whether or not they have been on a walk. They may also bring their guests. Please bring a small contribution of festive food. Gordon Gould will present a short selection of slides. A collection of £1 each will be made to help cover the cost of hiring the hall. In order for this to be a success, please give it your full support.

SEAFORD WALK on Sunday 10 January 2010. Cars depart from Eastcourt at 10am. A walk of approximately 3½ miles to the Golden Galleon for lunch. After lunch either walk back to Seaford or catch the bus (don’t forget your bus pass).

SYBIL MARTIN MEMORIAL TALK on Friday 12 March 2010. “A Walk in the Clouds” by Kev Reynolds at the Meridian Hall on Friday 12 March 2010. 7.30pm until 10.30pm. Admission free to Members, Non-members £2. Including refreshments.

SPRING DINNER, BARNSGATE, Friday 16 April 2010. Leaflet for this event will be circulated with the programme and on walks. Tickets price £20 are available from Carl Heppell Brenda Finch and John Mowbray .
